Frequently Asked Questions

What if my plans change and I am unable to attend?

Due to the small group size and rental cost, refunds will not be given if you’re unable to attend. In the event you are unable to attend, please email Jordan or Megan. We’ll do our best to help you find a replacement for your spot off of the waitlist. It will be your responsibility to connect with your replacement and collect payment directly from them.

Do I get my own room?

Yes, there are single occupancy rooms available. Depending on the location, there may be a variety of rooming options. You can see the different configurations on a retreat registration page.

How will meals work?

All meals at the house are included between dinner on the night of arrival and breakfast on the morning of departure.

If we choose to go out to a restaurant or bar, each person is responsible for their own meals and drinks.

Should I bring my computer?

100% yes! And be ready to use it with your mad skills.

Do I have to attend every session?

Yes, to all the group goal sessions. The point is to help each other and we can’t do that if you don’t participate! Don’t feel pressure to be around everyone during downtime though if you need a break.

Will the sessions be recorded?

What happens at the a retreat stays at… wait no, it won’t get that wild. You’re welcome to record anything on your own. We won’t be officially recording though.

What else can I do during the retreat?

We'll send out a guide detailing what's nearby and possible activities you can take part in. You're also free to google the general area and see what historic/scenic/fun things there are to do.

What do I pack to wear?

Whatever gets your creative juices flowing! If that’s a suit and tie, go for it. If that’s your favorite t-shirt with a hole in the side, bring it. There will be plenty of time for relaxing inside and outside at the location.

Can my spouse/partner/kids attend with me?

Since we have so much dedicated group work time, your spouse/partner/kids won’t be allowed at the house (not that they’d want to). They are welcome to join us for dinners if they’re staying in town somewhere else. However due to the size of the house, they will not be able to stay on the property.

What about sickness/COVID-19?

COVID-19 Protocol: We respect everyone’s health and comfort during our retreat. If you are ill, stay home. If you become ill during the event, kindly return to your room and participate virtually. We respect all participants’ personal choices on testing and wearing or not wearing a mask. Any harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.

Am I really going to be using my skills?

100% yes! The point of this retreat is to get each of us moving on our goals. That means if you’re a BA copywriter, you’ll be writing some copy. Is design your forte? Have InDesign and Illustrator booted up. Love to code? Have some ideas ready on how you can quickly implement ideas for your fellow Guides.

How far is it from the summit? What about transportation?

The retreat location is 3.1 miles away (about a 15 min car ride) to the Virgin Hotel so we will Uber/Lyft there for the summit.

What happens if you have to cancel a retreat?

We will do everything within our control to avoid this. However, we all understand there may be circumstances we cannot control that may lead us to cancelling the retreat. In that case, you’ll be refunded as much as we’re able to recoup from the refund of the house rental. OR we’ll aim to rebook at the soonest available date.

If we cannot rebook anything in person, we’ll arrange to hold the sessions over Zoom (we know, it sucks) but that way we can get our strategies and sales funnels running as soon as possible.
